About the designer:
Laguna~B is a Venice-based company making Murano contemporary glassware since 1994, when Marie Brandolini created the iconic Goto collection. Inspired by the informal glass cups made by Murano masters using leftover glass scraps, Marie reinterpreted the process to create the Goto collection. Combining traditional Murano techniques with an innovative, pop aesthetic approach, she established Laguna~B’s first studio in her penthouse at Palazzo Brandolini.
For over 30 years, the company has been working with experienced glass masters in the Murano furnaces to hand-craft its signature tumblers, looking to fulfil the highest quality standards. In 2016, Marcantonio Brandolini took over the company as artistic director, making “being contemporary” his main mission and investing in culture, environment and young talents.
Laguna~B has recently collaborated both with international houses such as Chanel, Saint Laurent or Frederic Malle as well as commissioning contemporary artists and cultural producers to work in the field of glassware. Furthermore, Laguna~B has been majorly involved in Vital – aimed at restoring the Venetian lagoon's natural capital and offset their emissions locally – and Autonoma Next, an annual residency program addressed to high school students coming from different backgrounds,  aimed at cultivating talent and passion in the glass world, starting from the youngest generations.
